I'm trying to figure out how to have SMplayer have extrastereo on ad a default in the smplayer.ini file.
ie... exact wording and placement in the file. TY in advance.

There are several ways to enable extrastereo by default:

In preferences -> advanced there's a field where you can enter "actions" to be run every time a file is played. Type there extrastereo_filter true

Another possibility, in preferences -> advanced -> options for mplayer, type extrastereo in the audio filters field.
