Hi,
SMplayer has a issue playing AVI files over the home network. All other codecs play fine but AVI's only play locally. Error code 2 or simply stops playing. Using Xubuntu 20.04 Nvidia 1070ti AMD 3900x Gskill 32Gig . QNAP nas where movies are stored. All movies play over network just fine except for AVI files. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could you send the mplayer/mpv log (menu View) after trying to play an avi file?
