Remove mplayer from menus & make smplayer default for all?

Postby hiohio » Wed Mar 10, 2010 7:54 pm

Hello.

Is it possible to remove mplayer from gnome menu for every user and mplayer entry from right-click "open with" menu.

And how would I make smplayer the default choice for every media file in Ubuntu (9.10)? Even better if can also disassociate mplayer from everything.

why dont you use the software center to uninstall mplayer or anything you need to uninstall, and then keep smplayer as default media player ?
