I prefer (like many users) to use mouse wheel in order to scroll (forward-backward, I've set it to 3secs), very annoying problem that has been since 5-6.x versions, especially when watching WMV format movies. Instead of scrolling backwards, it behaves like you scroll forward.
This is a huge problem for me and I'm sure for a lot of other folks out there.
I cannot use other players, because they are so annoying(and don't want to) as SMPlayer is the best and I will keep support it and recommend it always. Are you familiar with such problems?

See if this helps. Look in prefs under Mouse section. There's a box to "reverse wheel media seeking."
Can't we all just get along? If a computer crashes when no one's around, does it make a sound?
