SMPlayer 64-bit Full Installer

Postby redxii » Sat Jul 10, 2010 10:49 pm

This is my full SMPlayer 64-bit package, using the same installer code from SVN minus the downloading stuff, and is "compatible" with release installers (remembering install options/location). The installer won't allow side-by-side install with 32-bit.

The version is automatically generated by the script: Year.Month.Day.Hour but it's just for referring to the installer itself.

Changelog:
12.05.12.22
- SMPlayer 0.8.0 r4322
- MPlayer r34894

12.03.20.22
- Updated: SMPlayer to r4160

12.03.16.12
- Updated: SMPlayer to r4110
- Updated: MPlayer to r34818

12.03.03.23
- SMPlayer 0.7.1
- MPlayer r34790

Since it has the codecs it can't be uploaded to Sourceforge:

size: 32.2MB

If you have trouble downloading from MediaFire, make sure cookies are enabled.

Installed size (all components): 135MB
Installer code (NSIS): http://smplayer.svn.sourceforge.net/vie ... r.full.nsi

Thanks so much for posting this. Finally a build that fixes that annoying playback bug with certain mkv/h264 videos :D Wish this link wasn't so hidden away in the forums though :/

Updated.

Added a MegaUpload mirror since Rapidshare tends to suck some times.

There is something very bizarre with r3584 and possibly others before that. I am installing the intel multicore version on Windows7 and was discovering various files where it would play it fine, then suddenly later on, wouldn't play it at all. If you play a video file and stop it, then open the main smplayer preferences, change something and click ok. For some reason this is messing up the config files in some way and trying to play that same video causes it to error out on the video or possibly the audio as well.

I have discovered a workaround that'll keep your videos playing smoothly though. First, goto Options > Preferences, and select "General" in the list. Now select the General tab and you should see an option for "Remember Settings for all files". Uncheck ""Remember Settings for all files" and click ok. Now close smplayer and open explorer. Goto C:\Users\$username$\.smplayer and delete the "file_settings" folder. If it's on XP (the issue may not affect this OS), replace "\Users\" with "\Documents and Settings\". Now you can continue as normal, where all videos will just open with their default config.

This is the installer code, http://www.mediafire.com/file/4c26bo4h8 ... .win32.nsi

No funny business right. The rest of the files needs are in SVN/plug-ins @ NSIS website.
