The latest version doesn't need to update the YouTube code anymore. It finds out by itself.

Version: 14.9.0 (svn r7051) (32-bit)
Ok my version tell me last day's that Smplayer cant play the video and need to upgrade the code.
So i upgrade the code by help menu and it works again?
About what version you talking please.

The new code is in SVN from r7025. It's still experimental. If it fails it falls back to the old one, which may ask you to update the youtube code.

It never failed for me though :?
