I have the same error:
Error parsing option input-file (option not found)
Setting commandline option --input-file=/dev/stdin failed.
Exiting... (Fatal error)

Linux Mint 19.3

I'd like to fix another couple of bugs before releasing a new version, but I guess if Linux Mint could include a development version of mpv they could include a development version of smplayer as well.

Thank you for the quick response. I'm on Kubuntu 18.04, FWIW. Playback with mplayer is very inefficient on my HTPC. The sooner I can get back to MPV the better for me. Thank you again!
