volume filter

I'm using smplayer 0.6.9 under Windows 7. Some of my videos are too quiet, even with max volume.

I tried adding volume=10 to the audio filters, but it doesn't do anything. If I use the bundled mplayer.exe from the command line with -af volume=10, I can hear it.

How can I get this to work in smplayer?

Try enabling Volume Normalization in Options -> Preferences -> General -> Audio, and increasing Max. Amplification.

I thought I had already tried that, but maybe I didn't raise it high enough or didn't have both options turned on simultaneously.

Thanks.

I suggest to enable the software volume and increase the maximum amplification (preferences -> general -> audio).
