SMPlayer is my default player, however I have a little problem while playing .TS file/video as I CAN NOT use the forward/backward slider at the bottom and the only way I could fast forward/backward is to use the "1 min" -> -< or the "10 mins" -> -<.
Please help.

What version are you using? What OS?

What does the time bar in the lower-right corner say? MPlayer has never been very reliable with TS files, either not reporting total time, the total time is wrong, seeking issues, etc. If the total time says all zeros that's why the seek bar doesn't work.

Enable "relative seeking" in preferences -> interface -> seeking and see if that helps.
