Problem with external .ac3 (SMPlayer 0.8.6)

Postby DVV » Sat Nov 09, 2013 8:32 pm

Several times I observed the following problem with SMPlayer 0.8.6 (I'm using Windows):
1. Load external .ac3 audio track for a movie (the movie itself is an .avi file, XVID) - it is being used while playing the movie;
2. Exit SMPlayer while the movie is being played (the option to save a position inside a file is On);
3. Start SMPlayer to play the same movie again - the play position is restored and no sound is heard, though the external audio track is shown as loaded.
I can hear the external audio track again only after I unload it and load it again.
I don't remember such problems with SMPlayer 0.8.5 and earlier.

Please send the mplayer log when that happens (options -> view logs).

Please see the attached. It's right after SMPlayer is restarted with a movie with an external audio track - and no sound is heard.

P.S. Sorry for starting this thread in the "News" forum - for some reason I was thinking I created it under "General"...

I think this is fixed in svn r5891.

Absolutely! You have fixed this even faster than I tested :)

But... what happened with pausing a movie using a mouse? I have Play/Pause assigned to Left Mouse Button, and in SMPlayer r5902 I notice an one second delay between pressing the Left Mouse Button and the actual pausing the movie. During that one second the movie continues to play. In the same time, pausing by pressing Space is almost immediate.

This is to solve a very old problem. A double click triggered a left click action too. Now this doesn't happen anymore but it's necessary to wait some milliseconds to know if the user double clicked or not, so the left click is delayed a little bit. Anyway I'll probably add an option so this can be disabled.
