Cannot resize subtitles; cannot get subs on black bar

Hi,

I have the following sub settings:
-Use the ASS Library
-Freetype support
-Default scale 1.0
-Size 12
but what matter what size I choose, the subtitles stay really big.

Also, choosing "Add black borders on fullscreen" does not place the subs on the black bar.
