Some youtube videos "skip" and "stutter"
Posted: Tue Aug 01, 2017 1:18 amHi, I've recently started using SMPlayer since Google/Youtube has ditched Flashplayer. I have a fairly old Gateway NV78 Laptop running windows 7.
SMplayer is great; better resolution with less resources than the YouTube HTML5player. However, some videos play for a few minutes and then start skipping/stuttering badly. It clears up and then starts again in a few minutes.
Has anyone encountered this issue trying to stream Youtube on SMPlayer? The next time it happens, I'll post a link to the vid to see if there is something in the settings I can change.
