as to open a device (webcam, EasyCAP, in rca of camcorder)? vlc and mediaplayer classic do by clicking on "open device"

Yes I would also be interested to do the following with SMPlayer ...
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l2convert.so mplayer -fps 30 -nomouseinput -nosound tv:// -tv driver=v4l2:device=/dev/video6
or vlc v4l2:///dev/video0
Any infos on this ?
