Hello all,

Just installed smplayer-0.8.6.5695-qt5test-win32, which fails to run.
(The installation went fine).
First attempt was an upgrade from smplayer-0.8.6.5695-win32.exe (Qt4).
Second attempt I used uninstall from the installer window.

When launching smplayer.exe I received 2 error messages from Windows:

1. Window called: smplayer

This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin
"windows".
Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

2. Window called: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program: C: Program Files\SMPlayer\smplayer.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

smplayer-0.8.6.5695-win32.exe (Qt4) runs fine.

smplayer-0.8.6.5695-qt5test-win32
Windows XP-home (32-bit)
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime 2005, 2008 and 2010

Be careful, the version with Qt 5 may not work well. Either because of subtle changes in the behavior of some functions in Qt 5 or because of bugs, some parts of smplayer may not work as expected. I fixed the problems I found but probably there will be many more.

Can I do this with smplayer? As I dropped a jpeg file inside it, it was not able to show the image. I need some information over whether what I aim for is possible with smplayer or not.
